The Ginza Tower will be the largest Bulgari store in the world

Tokyo, March 10th 2006 - Bulgari, one of the global players on the luxury market, announced today that the company will open a new flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo in December 2007.

With its total retail space of 952 square meters, it will represent the largest Bulgari store in the world, thus contributing to further strengthen the company’s presence in one of the most important market for the luxury industry.

Owned by Sankyo, the Bulgari Ginza Tower will be 56 meters high and located in Ginza 2-Chome, the most prestigious shopping area in Tokyo. With its grand façade, the building will represent one of the iconic architecture of the town for its customers as well as for visitors in and outside of Japan.

The Bulgari Ginza Tower will have ten floors and a roof terrace – with its 1st floor dedicated to jewellery and watches. On the 2ndfloor, accessories (handbags, small leather goods, eyewear, silk and gifting items) will be displayed while a bridal salon and dedicated VIP rooms will be hosted on the 3rd floor. On the 4th floor, there will be an after sales department including specialized watch repair technicians.

The floors from 4th to 7th will also host the Bulgari Japan headquarter while the 8th floor will be dedicated to a VIP club lounge. The 9th and 10th floors will be respectively devoted to an Italian restaurant and a bar, which will enjoy a dedicated entrance and elevator.

On the top floor, the Bulgari Ginza Tower will unveil to its clients an Italian garden terrace, where they will be able to enjoy a breathtaking view of Tokyo night and day as well as the company will have the opportunity to organize private events for clients and business partners.

The façade was designed by Bulgari’s in-house architects, while the building, which was inspired by a jewellery showcase, was designed by Shimizu Corporation.

Francesco Trapani, Chief Executive Officer of the Bulgari Group, commented:"I am particularly proud to announce this future store opening in one of the most prestigious locations in Tokyo. Bulgari, in fact, can boast a strong relationship with Japan since the opening of the first store here more than twenty years ago. Since then, the brand has registered a great success in this country, and in 2005 Japan represented 26% of Group's total revenues. Furthermore, Japan has always been for Bulgari the key market to launch new products because of the well-known passion and attention of Japanese clientele to design, quality and image and this is the reason why we decided to open here our largest store in the world”.

Bulgari is one of the global players on the luxury market. In 2005 the Group posted a turnover of 919 million Euro (not audited results IAS/IFRS restated). With a market capitalization of about 3,057 million Euro (as of 03.08.2006), Bulgari relies on a distribution network of about 200 stores in the most exclusive shopping areas in the world and on selected distributors. Bulgari has a product portfolio that ranges from jewels and watches to accessories and perfumes. The Group is controlled by the Bulgari family, holding about 52.0% of the share capital. The remaining 48.0% is floating on the Milan Stock Exchange.
